Seven Islands Leisure Centre, Rotherhithe

The revitalisation of this leisure centre has undergone a £1 million building refurbishment and has now been officially opened. Pick Everard provided mechanical and electrical building services design to assist the local authority in reducing running costs and bringing back to life a dated building.

The building refurbishment provides a new reception area and changing village, as well as a refreshed multi-purpose studio. The swimming pool has undergone a complete refurbishment and has been fully retiled, with a new sauna and steam room installed. A new passenger lift was installed and the basement air handling unit plant replaced with a modern efficient system. Elements with Contractors Design Portion for the complex Mechanical & Electrical installations were co-ordinated through our supply chain partners which included – Builder’s Work & Penetrations, Co-ordination of the services, Containment, brackets and supports, Building Management System controls, hardware and software, Security systems, Fire alarm, Lift system design and Gas system/service. The Reception Counter design was undertaken by the CAD Design Team at Falkus Joinery.
