St Clements, Corporation Street

Jerram Falkus are undertaking the design and construction of new homes for MHS Homes in Rochester.

We will be delivering the construction of a reinforced concrete 5 and 6 storey building, with light gauge structural walls with an external skim brickwork façade with external winter gardens.

The internal structure is concrete blockwork on the Ground level with lightweight internal partitioning to remaining floors, internal fitting out for the construction of 44 new independent apartments designed for the over 50’s. Once occupied, these will release much-needed housing stock back to the Medway area for families.

The development has two lifts designed on differing parameters with two stair cores and a ground floor community area for the residents of the development.

There is a new sub-station which will be situated in the car park with heating being provided by air source heat pumps on the roof.

Works will also see the construction of hard and soft landscaping with a car park to the rear of the development which will be linked to the existing carpark from the adjacent block.

Works commenced in January 2024 and have been progressing at pace. The foundation and ground slab is in place and works to the frame are almost complete.
