The new Film and Media Education Centre is a testament to our unwavering commitment to delivering bespoke educational spaces. Our construction team meticulously worked to create this modern facility, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and specialist equipment, to cater to the dynamic needs of film and media students.

Design and Construction Excellence

Spanning two storeys, the development is an architectural embodiment of modernity and functionality, designed to house the technology and specialist facilities essential for grooming today’s creative students for the fast-evolving industry. The project’s execution necessitated strategic planning to minimise disruption to the university’s daily activities while ensuring safe pedestrian access around the site.

Facilities for the Future

The centre is outfitted with an array of specialist facilities meticulously designed to mirror industry standards, preparing students for their future careers. It houses a large lecture theatre with 257 seats, providing an immersive learning environment for mass gatherings and presentations. The music technology facilities, including a recording studio, control room, and dubbing theatre, offer students hands-on experience with industry-grade equipment. Additionally, rehearsal and performance spaces provide creative outlets for artistic expression, complemented by a high level of acoustic control to suit the specialist functions of the rooms.
