The design and construction of a new Film and Media education Centre at the University for Creative Arts campus in Farnham. Our new-build builders worked on this new building which has provided specialist facilities for film and media students.
The two-storey development is designed to house the technology and specialist equipment needed to prepare today’s creative students for industry. Construction took place on an occupied campus and provisions had to be put in place to minimise disruption to the daily activities of the University whilst maintaining safe pedestrian access around the site.
The development is designed to house the specialist facilities required by today’s film and media students to prepare them for industry including; Large lecture theatre (257 seats), Music technology facilities such as a recording studio, control room and dubbing theatre, Rehearsal and performance spaces, a high level of acoustic control, determined by the specialist functions of the rooms.
