Sebastian Court, New Build Development

Barking and Dagenham’s regeneration company, Be First, appointed Jerram Falkus Construction to undertake the demolition of the original 1960s Sebastian Court estate buildings which had fallen into disrepair, before commencing enabling works and the construction of a 95 new high-quality affordable homes on the site.

Following the demolition works, we commenced piling for the three new residential blocks and then started work on the new substation which unlocked the site in preparation for the new affordable housing development.

The new Sebastian Court scheme, will provide over 90 affordable and quality homes for local people, an increase of almost 30 units when compared to the original building that has now been demolished.

This new development will be completed by Summer 2021 and forms part of Barking and Dagenham’s commitment to deliver thousands of new affordable homes for local people.
