St John and St James Church, Tottenham

We are currently delivering a Grade II listed church refurbishment project and residential development on Great Cambridge Road, Tottenham, for the Christian Action Housing Association.

The scheme will see the demolition of the existing church hall in St John and St James Church, followed by the construction of a single-storey extension to the building’s existing front entrance, as well as re-modelling and alteration of this area and refurbishment of the church interior. This will include mechanical and electrical services, external works and below ground drainage.

To allow church services to continue while the works are in progress, a 32ft long temporary and mobile church with disability access has been installed adjacent to Jerram Falkus’ site office.

The project will also involve the construction of a four-storey block which will provide 21 new homes comprised of 18 flats, 2 x three-bedroom houses and 1 x four-bedroom houses, as well as a community facility and a new vicarage.

The new residential block has had solar panels as well as a sedum green roof installed for greater sustainability benefits.

The scheme is due to reach practical completion in August 2022.
